Morning all,

I need to extend the door contact as the front door is being moved forward due to an extension.
The door won't be moved for a few weeks, but I need to pull the cables now and 2nd fix later on.

Does anyone know how to disable the door zone for the time being on the above system ?

Mark

Twist the wires together out of the contact.
I've done that but now get a fault

Any idea.. for some reason it says the living room aswell ‍♂️

There were two wires going to the door contact silver terminals and these are the pair that should be twisted together for the door contact.

however only see the white wire connected.

it is possible that the other two wires are related to PIR's alarm terminals you mention but cant be certain.

Yellow looks like like no metal core showing and green and blue have short wire stubs. the installer could have used any combination of wires.

commonly used in pairs are red and black, blue and yellow, white and green, orange and brown, so thats where i would start or open up the sensors to see what has been used or panel to see what has been used.

Unfortunately some join wires elsewhere round the house and dont keep the same colours throughout

Just a quick question.. so I join the two that where in the contactor and the rest should be left separated?

So I've tried every combination of twisting the wires together, and all I get when I try to set the alarm is "Program 1 Set" ?

All I've done is take the wires out of the contact.. seems strange unless I'm missing something and there is a loop?

Link zone out in control panel to see if fault clears.
Take photo of pcb wiring to get advise from forum.

Does this help guys?

Zone 1 appears to be using green and blue.

But on your door contact had white core connected in your photo.

so either they are joined elsewhere around the house on a different scheme or the door contact wires are a red herring, when you removed the door contact cover you should have been able to see what wires were connected at the door contact?

the other zones appear to have used yellow and blue.
