Another HIVE howler....

Plates may be same for Hive duel is likely same wiring but single Hive wiring unlikely the same.

That is not the same boiler, The OP says he has a Compact SE, that link you supplied is a Compact standard efficiency, confusing I know but two completely different boilers the Compact SE can only use 240v switching with use of a relay

Is SE not standard efficiency, very confusing if not. I downloaded the same as Eric and found them to state 230vac?

The boiler is in a cupboard upstairs, the hive receiver is in a cupboard downstairs.

What you need is a permanent live and permanent neutral, so this is either from the spur unit or boiler (piggybacked). The Danfoss you have is the 230vac model as it has the leds for power and calling, so the switching is 230vac. Also it would seem that the clock side of boiler may need linking as well? That could be your issue.

From the upstairs cupboard (where the boiler & spur are)

i have 2 twin and earths, one from the spur, which went into the timer ports L&N and another that went into the thermostat ports 2&3 straight from the boiler.

both timer and thermo are linked with 2 core L&N - L&N

so the spur is feeding them both.

Fit your receiver next to the spur at the boiler.
Cut and divert the 2 wires that were going to the clock and thermostat to the receiver.
The one going to the clock from the spur connects to L & N.
And the one going to the thermostat from the boiler goes to terminals 1 & 3.
DO NOT link L & 1.

So a bit of digging and i opened the boiler,

the cable identified is directly to the thermostat downstairs and it goes to cn1, there is also blue&gray for power the cn1, in the connector block next to it is the blue and grey from the boilers clock but the blacks are sitting in the housing spare

Well i removed the EMT2 and link, wired up the thermo stat with power from the spur and the com and on ports, turn it below 10 and it turns off, turn it up and the boiler fires up no bother,

to me the cabling seems ok,

could it possibly be a faulty receiver?

Although im getting the lights and saying it on,its doing jack at the boiler?
