Plumbers don't generally get problem solving or resolution tbh.

Page 1, 1st chapter of the plumbers handbook:

1) New boiler.

It's a partition.

Some sole and header plates can not be mechanically fixed (UFH etc) so the recommendation is for decent adhesive to be applied to the contact surfaces, prior to being trapped in by the uprights. Whilst an unsteady partition is not ideal, remedying it is fairly straightforward.

Is it not too much to expect it to be done correctly in the first place then?

Given that someone paid likely a couple of hundred grand (and upwards) for it?

I'm not here to argue the merits of quality regards UK housebuilders. Also, making a fuss over something that is easily remedied is a waste of fuss.

If you are asking me how I'd build the wall......?

Can't agree with that.

The soleplate is perfectly able to be mechanically fixed to the floor without interfering with the ufh.

There are other methods than a box of 6" nails to secure fixtures and fittings.

As you say, even glue, done properly would work.

However glue as an afterthought is utterly not suitable.
