I would suggest NOT feeding it
 
Bit late now I guess, but sea buckthorne makes good "passive aggressive hedging" and will fill in gaps by itself [or, "spreads like nobody's business", to put it another way].
 
The size if a tree is governed by the vigour if the rootstock its grafted on to,the joint will be close to the ground.
Now you've moved it at this time of year its $h!t or bust so to prevent excesive loss of moisture I would leaf prune it.
 
Yep, the leaves are all wilted now. It is not looking good. Wull need to prune all the leaves.
Hopefully it will revice next spring. If not, it will be put for firewood.

Don't prune all the leaves, prune about two thirds, and give it a good soaking
