Genocide in Gaza: Analysis of International Law and its Application to Israel’s Military Actions since October 7, 2023

PART 6: CONCLUSION
263. This report has demonstrated that actions—past and continuing—taken by Israel’s government and military in and regarding Gaza following the Hamas attacks in Israel on October 7, 2023, constitute breaches of the international legal prohibitions on the commission of genocide, incitement to genocide, and failure to prevent and punish genocide.
264. This report has shown that Israel has committed the genocidal acts of killing, causing serious harm to, and inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about the physical destruction of Palestinians in Gaza, a protected group that forms a substantial part of the Palestinian people. These genocidal acts have been motivated by the requisite genocidal intent, as evidenced in this report by the statements of Israeli leaders, the character of the State and its forces’ conduct against and relating to Palestinians in Gaza, and the direct nexus between them.
265. Israel’s violations of the international legal prohibition of genocide and other related crimes amount to grave breaches of peremptory norms of international law that must be ceased
immediately. Furthermore, these violations give rise to obligations by all other States: to refrain from recognizing Israel’s breaches as legal or taking any actions that may amount to complicity in these breaches; and to take positive steps to suppress, prevent, and punish the commission by Israel of further genocidal acts against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

....BUT some on here will still turn a blind eye and see nothing wrong when it comes to these Zionist genocidal maniacs.

The mistreatment of captured combatants gos on in all conflicts

Or do you believe because it don’t reported or appears on some video that it don’t happen :giggle:

such as British treatment of captured Taliban.

The difference is our troops are held to a higher standard and expected to comply with the rules of war. If not, according to the law they will be dealt with. IDF soldiers have literally been getting away with murder for far too long.

I'll be meeting up with an IDF reservist and his brother next week who's serving on the Northern border.

I'll ask them how many they have murdered?

One the Jew haters will support
So you think people who criticise the state of Israel for the appalling actions in Gaza are "Jew haters"

please could you talk us through your thought process so we can see how you reached that conclusion

So many lovers of hamas on here!
Why do you think people who criticise the state of Israel are "Hamas Lovers"

how did you reach that conclusion?

has it never occurred to you that people who hate the state of Israel also hate Hamas terrorism?

Do you see everything in life in as shallow terms as a game of football "if you dont support this team, you must support the other team"

It's the multiple options.

Difficult to process if looking in binary terms

Tough place for them to be no doubt.

In fairness though, ask them what they think of the actions the state is commanding the army to do, too
