Could you buy ANY C5 pipe that has the same union, and then just cut and join it further along?
1) Continue with the Banjo Bodge- latest failed spectacularly but i think i know why so will have another go
2) Try the any C5 pipe and compression coupler route (somewhat easier now i've got the van back up and running- can cruise scrappies with blowtorch and big grips in hand)
3) There's one correct preloved pipe on a 2nd-hand site at the moment for £110.
4) Hardtail C5? Can't see the MOT tester going for it plus its very uncomfortable
More to follow.
Interestingly, van was out of action due to a slightly snapped at the manifold union exhaust pipe. Van is 36 years old so thought I was going to have to weld it but 5 seconds on Google found me a brand new pipe (70mm dia, 2m long with a flange on the end) for £34 delivered.
While under the van, noticed that the rear shocks are looking past their prime (aka disintegrating from old age). Another Google- lots of choice, £60 a pair delivered. Bit of a contrast from the French.
