Dipping toe into painting

People with body shop experience, explain this please:

all non compliant material must not be used for the refinishing of passenger vehicles unless it has been classified as classic or vintage.

Any VOC material is non-compliant. So, are all body shops using water based paint now?

For people not aware, cellulous paint isn't petrol resistant. That suggests it is no better than 1k.

Ours certainly is. I think pretty much all other big commercial bodyshops will too.

Then who is buying the 1k, 2k, and cellulous paints from ebay and paint shops? I rather suspect your shop must be a hidden buyer, for doing side jobs.

New panels just in. Remarkable quality and cheap. No prizes for guessing who made these. The paint on them will fail in 2 years, longer if clear coated. I will 2k them.

Suspect what you like. If you've got the balls, report us. We have quite expensive lawyers and will make sure that if your allegations are unfounded, we will pursue damages, because it's what nice people like you deserve. I hope you have deep pockets! :)

Given the excessive reaction, I might have poked a soft spot.

Get yer shed roof fixed then (y)
I don't have a shed. I will make one next year. This year is all taken up, and I am behind schedule. I really should be on scaffolds rather than playing with car paints.
