Disable Buzzer On Door Entry Audio Handsets

Think it’s a short between 5 ground and 9 tells the an200 psu to activate the relay ...but don’t hold me to that ...lol

Thanks for that sparkymarka.

So theoretically, if I had a relay interface, when some one calls the flat, that will trigger the relay, which can then control any thing electrical.

Hopefully a signal to a device that can let me send a notification to my moble. But that’s work in progress.

Then if you think 5 and 9 joined will trigger the door release. Hopefully I can open the door.

Just need to test the door release on those terminals. Although I hope it doesn’t go wrong. Eeeeek.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the info sparkymarka.

Spot on. Just brought one. (y):)

It would either be 5v or 12v. No more.

I was looking at the AC200 info. For some reason it says it needs to be next to the handset. Do you know why?

Just there is a junction box for the intercom by my services and that would be more convenient. I could tap into it there. But maybe there is a logical reason why it needs to be by the handset.

It’s smaller than you think ...it probably fit inside a yc200 handset , probably voltage drop if it’s a long way from handset

5 to 5 ....7 to 7 ....then you need to pick up 21 from the an200 psu ....depending on what cable you ran from the an200 to the handset location ( hopefully more than a 4 core )

Crumbs, no 21. I won’t be able to get access to the an200. :(

That’s a bummer. I should have checked that before purchasing. Hay ho. But thank you for the help. (y)

I wonder if there is another way. I guess because it’s tone generated there is no way to get a voltage out of it. In less there is something that can pick up on high tones and click a relay.

On another note,

21 seems to be power +, I guess to power the ac200, as 7 is doing the call signal, so could I used an external power supply, or is that going create problems on the an200, I guess it all depends if it volt free processing, but because it’s on the coil side of the relay it probably isn’t. o_O

I guess it will be in a locked cupboard somewhere. There’s over 60x apartments.

I doubt they will let me have access to it. :(

Do you think an external power supply will work? Or create problems? :?:

I don’t want create any issues on the system.

Interesting development. I was looking back over some old photos before the place was refurbished. There used to be a bell speaker next the the handset. But it was removed years ago when the place was re-done. But I took a picture in side that box and the phone. Inside the speaker box, there is an extra two wires. A black one connected to a terminal and a white one that is not connected.

So I went and looked in the junction box by the services and to my surprise there is a black and white wire not connected to the new cable going to the new handset.

So the question is, do you think the black one is 21, which would be power +. It would make sense that the bell speaker would need power.

But I can’t find any documentation on it, so do you know sparkymarka ?

I think it’s called a BPT RC/200 Extension call sounder. But there is no documentation on it any where online, ie what each wire terminal is. If I had that info I would no for sure.

Let us know if you have any thoughts. Old picture attached.

Thanks for any help.
