Doors on loft landing near stairs advice

Just wanted to check with those in the know if this is compliant with regs.

Quite simply two doors off a LOFT landing. Is the landing too small for compliance?

Presumably woody means uses cases for 'opening to a wall to make the room look bigger' versus 'for privacy & draught prevention'

Doors should not allow viewing into a room if left slightly ajar, so you hang them according.

Doors should not open on to landings so you hang them accordingly.

interesting…that might explain why all the doors in my house were hung (in my view) the wrong way round. I’d always want the door opening against the nearest wall, as per the op, in order to maximise the space in the room.
 
Must be something to do with shy Victorians. I generally swap mine over as I hate "climbing" round them.
 
Whichever way the door hangs, if it is left slightly adjar then you get a slim glimpse into the room from outside. If the door is in the middle of the wall the glimpse will be about equally revealing either way. If jammed into a corner the glimpse will be of a bit of wall but the doorway will be extremely inconvenient to climb round.
You take your pick depending on how you like, where the furniture is going, etc. There's no "should" about it.

There you go - the prescriptive "should" again!
I quoted "climbing" from another poster. It's metaphorical not literal. Obviously you normally only open a door reasonably sufficient to get through, consistent with your size and what you are carrying. If a door opens into a corner it's harder to negotiate, and more likely to be complicated by adjacent furniture.
Consider the meaning of the expression "he popped his head round the door". :)
 
Two years on and still nearly getting round to doing this. I've now decided to open up the entire loft so I only need one door now. The door is preferably in the position in the image.

I just hope this is enough space to get large items round the corner, eg. mattress, 4x2s, stuff that a chippie might need to bring up? Or should I bring the door closer to the stair edge?

It's standard building practice the door opens in a manner to maximise the privacy of the occupancy of a room. Been like that forever. Look at how your doors are hung in your house, no doubt you will see.
