The pre-set temperature can be changed by removing the immersion heater cap and adjusting the thermostat. The water should be stored above 60°C to prevent legionnella bacteria building up

Do insure isolated before removing cover there are other wise live wires that you can easy touch under that cover.

At the wall should be normally be adequate, at the consumer unit would be better if that is possible..

That looks like your top immersion element is leaking

I've checked and it looks dry. I think it has leaked in the passed but I will keep an eye on it.
