emails can "habitually" go missing due to a misconfigured DNS server whilst SMTP in conjunction with a TCP/IP transport is reliable it is not guaranteed SMTP was not specifically designed for TCP/IP, but that doesn't make it a bad thing. (I think this is maybe in keeping with the original thread), the bit below probably not.

Masona what you have is spam email, the reason you're not the person on the To bit is that you were probably included in a BCC (blind carbon copy) list. It's spam just delete it.
