Expanded ULEZ

MBK takes his pointless air pollution screen shots seriously (titter).
Of course, any figures/data/polls/statistics/news articles that don’t agree with your stance will always raise a dismissive titter from you. Always has done. Always will.

Oh dear.. fines in Euros and dodgy exchange rates.. More TfL bullying.. £22m a month in fines £££ but its all about clean air...

Everybody knows this is just a scam to cover up the bankruptcy of TfL.
The only fools who can't understand it are the hardcore Labour supporters who don't even know why they keep voting Labour.

There is zero context with them. Just some random numbers at any given time, on a windy day, lol. Or they may be an indicator that Sadiq's plans are working.

However, even an honest man like yourself, has produced figures for Sunny Staffs showing concentrations of pollutants in specific areas that inflict damage and death. MBK is in denial if he thinks London does not have a problem with vehicular pollution.

Nonsense, Its the areas of the expanded zone that I have an issue with.
Central London has both pockets of high air particulates and excellent public transport. Outer London is the reverse. But the Pickings £££ are better for the outskirts of London, 90% of ULEZ revenue comes from the outer zone and they are currently generating £22M a month in fines.

Today the south coast is showing higher pollution than London. Not because everyone is driving to the seaside, but because there are a couple of low pressure systems off the north of Scotland sucking a warm South-westerly up from North/West Africa.

Today, tomorrow and the next day, your screen shots will be as ambiguous, pointless and as unconvincing as they were yesterday. As Mottie has shown, it's specific hotspots of heavy traffic that causes the deaths. London is a prime example. Glad to see Sadiq's plans are working. (y)

I thought they were “pointless, ambiguous and unconvincing”. But when they show London air quality is better than the south coast.. “Sadiq’s plans are working”.

Got it

Speculate away. Or you could look at a synoptic chart, live wind data or even a map of live real-time air quality sensors to see that poor air generated up wind will end up down wind.

Nobody disputes that dirty vehicles cause pollution and that causes deaths. The argument is that expanding the ULEZ will or won’t make a real difference and the impact is worth the cost and damage to business and livelihoods.

Or it’s a tax to generate revenue before the opportunity evaporates
