Hello all,
Our garage got flooded in recent “monsoon like weather”. Everything wet has been disposed of and the garage ckearred to dry.

It looks like the flood water was above the damp proof course ( see pic). Construction is brick then breeze block. The house has cavity wall filling pellets).

We think the water was in the garage for 30 mins before draining out (garage floor has a one brick fall back to front which is handy).

The house is fine- no water ingress.

So, the question I have is should I accelerate drying with dehumidifiers /blowers etc. my worry is weather the water had enough time to get through the breeze blocks to the cavity.

Should I be worried, should I accelerate drying?. Has anyone else had similar experiences that went right or wrong?
