Forum Update

There is a wider style 'DIYnot - Wide' available to use if you prefer that look, you can select it under Account Preferences:
Brilliant thank you - so much better
i really dont like this small fixed width site - and tend to stop using after a while - strange human behaviour

Thanks for your feedback thus far. As I mentioned there are still some tweaks to be made, and some parts are finished importing (media / thanks/likes etc).

The colour issue is interesting as it is the same colour palette as before especially on the thread view page. I can see how the index could appear brighter though.

For me I click Edit at the bottom of the post and I can edit the post inline. Is that not working for you?

The adverts haven't changed (nor the quantity). They're in exactly the same places and the number are exactly the same. If you are logged in you see far fewer ads (incl. the one in your example).

The number of posts per page, threads per index etc is exactly the same. The width has changed from 100% to a fixed width. It is the intention to add a wider option that should make it wider. But the number of posts per page is exactly the same, otherwise every link to the site would break.
Yes but the page is longer with more white space vertically so more scrolling to do on a phone to see the posts. It's ok on a PC.

Why has the thanks/like function gone from a silly little medal to a rating tab meaning I have to click the mouse twice when yesterday I could just click like or thanks with one click?

The functionality and layout of the ratings are not finished yet. Ratings info is still importing.

My memory is that I used to hover over my moniker to get a drop-down which included Logout, now I have to click on the moniker. I'm using a Windows PC.
When replying, clicking on the Preview button doesn't seem to do anything and the "Watch Thread" options aren't clear (do they still exist?).

FOR GODS SAKE1

PLEASE ADDRESS THE DA,MN COOKIES ACCEPTANCE POPUP WITH THE UTMOST URGENCY!

It is right over the top of the login buttons so you are preventing everyone logging in unless they accept cookies.

I DO NOT wish to accept your cookies, cookies make me fat....
I have to use Ublock Origin to get rid of it so I can login.

Please sort that out soonest then we can address the rest of the mess it now is!

I immediately miss the little link by each thread title that used to take you to the first unread post in the thread. Very useful and convenient, and gone!

Or is it still there and I'm just not seeing it?

Not sure what you mean

Not sure what you mean

On the old software if you read a thread then left it, and went back to it later or another day, there was a little dot at the start of the thread title. Click on the dot and it took you to the first new post (for you) in that thread so you picked up where you left off.

Lots of people never even realised it was there...

But now it's gone!

I guess I was one of them :D.

Mods have said, it’s not finished upgrading yet though, so it may return?

Hopefully yes. This looks to me like a change of software supplier to InVision. The InVision forum software certainly has the useful 'little dot' facility. Maybe it just needs turning ON.

On the mobile view there's no longer the option to go directly to a certain page of a thread, it merely defaults to the first page, hopefully this will be addressed.

I noticed this this morning too, on the mobile view after you edit a post the revised post doesn't automatically appear, it looks like your post doesn't exist after you submit your changes, you have to click the refresh button or exit and re-enter the thread to see it the revised post.
