Forum Update

The current cookie consent is still the same as the old forum, nothing has changed materially in that respect. However, if cookies were disabled completely the forum would not function, cookies are used for example to keep you logged in.

Just because it is the same as the wrong one before does not make it right!

And the forum works perfectly well without the use of them, try it!

FGS! just move the damn thing until a new one can be made, it's right over the logon and user links.
You are currently forcing us to accept cookies, the only option to reject them requires the user to make extensive searches via your "learn more" link (and some links in it do not work)
this is against the cookie law.

The pseudo avatars are a pain

this is against the cookie law.
There is no requirement in law to make sites work without cookies, only to ensure that people know that cookies are being used if you use a website.

If you're that against cookies, by warning you when you land on the site, you have the option of not proceeding with using the site.

I don't like it - threads and sections no longer well defined by the blue outlines.

Problem with uploading pictures which would upload without issue before:

How big were the images you were trying to upload? You can send it to me by email if it's easier [email protected]

How is the reaction score calculated? Doesn't seem to be the number of likes plus the number of thanks. Why not just have a "likes" score and a "thanks" score?

The scores are not currently accurate as you’ve noted. The old scores are preserved, but this is still a work in progress. Separating the scores is the plan.

Seems to be a strange bug where a long standing user thanked someone and that long standing user is described as being a "deleted user" but still has a profile page

Well spotted, I will look into this.

That's of course your choice. As I said before nothing has changed with the cookies. The consent box is the same, the cookies are the same. You had clicked on exactly the same box before at some point otherwise it'd be popping up every time you used the old forum.

However you appear to have fixed it!

Thank you kindly..... much appreciated.

Actually there has to be the ability to deny them.

Making it so you have to accept them to use the site IS against the cookie law.
