Golf!

You guys need to get up to Conwy. Great week of golf going on. We're joining the party on Friday.
Great course. Llandudno (where we are staying) is great fun too!

I've played a few courses up in north Wales, some crackers there.
I got sunstroke playing (i think it was Conwy links?) Mind you, that was c. 1996!
Little chance of any of those situations occurring any time soon, methinks

had my best round of golf on saturday,h/capp of 12.9.
par 66,went round my track in 71.blew up on the 17 and scored a LEN,for that it wouldve been even better.
shame it wasnt in a comp,as im sure the points wouldve been in total bandit territory.

I'm guessing that a Len is a Fairclough, Gregers, but would you mind awfully translating into an actual number, there's a good fellow? :D

The trouble with golf is that the bats are far too small.
I tried it once and I couldn't for the life of me hit the ball.
I think that something along the lines of a cricket bat would be far more productive.

Just pulled my clubs out of the loft where they have been living since Xmas. Back to the range to get my swing back!

Well with the year finished I'm playing off 29! I have been shooting 90s consistently and its went from high nineties to low nineties with a 93 yesterday and my last 4 rounds also being low nineties! :) getting some winter coaching and hopefully I shoot down next year! How you getting on?

****e,got down to 12.2 in april, and every comp ive entered ive gone up .1 currently sitting at 13.3

well done you, your hard work will pay off in the end.

Just got back from a weekend at the Belfry. Booked one of those stop-over deals for £129 which entitles you to a round of golf on the Brabazon and bed and breakfast and discounted access to the Bel Air, Sat night.

The Brab is a good track but the PGA and the Derby aren't up to much.

Not played the pga, but my brother reckoned that it was the best "golf" course there. For me, the Brab was only a couple or three decent holes, trading on its RC status.
And the Derby was a waste of good potato fields.

I've played both the Brab and the PGA a number of times. Whilst both have their critics, the layout and the quality of the Brab is undisputed. However, it's way down on my list of favourite courses and away from the fairways and greens, it is still a glorified spud field. Very tough test off the whites. A three handicapper in our group shot 20 points (same as me) and the winner out of twelve of us only shot 27 pts. We had five players all under 5 handicap including some decent hitters too. The rain never helped.
