How can I remove this radiator permanently? Flexi pipes??

I'm doing the exact same thing in my house, exactly the same as above, although I don't know what it meant by drain the system, can someone advise?

Do I shut the boiler off, then shut the water off? How do I "Drain the system"?

Please start a new thread, starting at the very least with the make and model of your boiler.
