How to install floor insulation

Self level floor

Practically every post has said you don’t need to self-level under the insulation....

screed with dry sand/cement

I believe you can just use sand, no need for cement. That’s what I’ve done.
Having said that, I believe this is something that changed in Kingspan’s (or was it Celotex’s) advice for floors.

Ideally need to use 110mm insulation but expensive £40-£50 per sheet, appose to jablite £20 per sheet but only comes in 100mm.

The jablite is of course about half as good an insulator.

Note the thickness is not precise, you may order 100 and get 105mm.

Can’t you find some 10mm polystyrene sheet somewhere?

Decided to go with, DPM, sand and bed the insulation into that, par and fill and joints then caberdeck over. Thats this weekends job sorted.
