I have installed 8 x 30 watt 12v led floods in my garden which are powered directly from a leisure battery but they don't work??

you could put only some of the lamps connected to a particular PIR, so that the lamps near any movement are the ones that come on.
 
Again, have you got a multimeter?

Can you do some measurements as asked?

This shows that you will have bugger all voltage to power the lamps if they are on the end of a 30m length of 2mm cable.

Yeah I have had covid along with my wife and as we are in retirement it takes us a little longer than some to get over the dam thing! As soon as able I will be out there as I am desperate to get this sorted. The relay and a new multimeter arrived today as well so hopefully I can get some answers!
