If this year is the end of the Tory government, how will you remember them?

The most right wing government since the war.
A Tory defection to the Labour party. One reason you may not hear is because it's become a right wing nationalist party.

Nationalism was heavily used in the Brexit campaign. Also immigration. Think what over simplified views that has created in our population. People see Oh it's still going on but take no notice of why it is like is.

UC etc. All that talk about scroungers making work pay etc - same effect. Over simplified views neglecting the fact that most who get it need it. Also forgetting the cost of detecting misuse. That can exceed what would be saved. That is how this area is handled and always has been.

If find the various noises they have made of the years when in power rather interesting. It tends to be popularist. A favourite of mine is borstal and a short sharp shock for youth offenders. Some really loved that announcement.
We have an nhs which we can control by voting for a party that will protect it.
Fact and they have done in the past. In power again and they achieve power on where the available money is spent. They can look at ways of increasing that. It's interesting that a Tory budget has made life a more difficult for Labour aims when and if they do get in. Now they wouldn't do that on purpose would they??? The gains / losses it causes them will have been spent. Guess what - we may well get another budget before the next general election.

If labour win the election, the next few years will see them bankrupting the country even further doing things they want and getting rid of tory policies
The cognitive dissonance of this shows the height of tribal stupidity

The Tories have destroyed the economy over the last 14 years, yet here is hate claiming Labour would make things worse

Yes. I went by the mantra "work smarter not harder", worked well for me, and many others. We had people who would put in more effort to swerve jobs than I, and others, put in to doing jobs.

Working smarter is not what you said.

Least effort for maximum results makes sense.

Tossing it off is just stealing a wage from an employer, and a job from someone who deserves a chance.

Hatejob is the sort of person who would’ve got away with doing the barest minimum, ripping his employer off where he could

Underfunded department of Education cuts teacher recruitment.

Hooray for Tory cuts, eh?

"Ministers are facing sharp criticism over scrapping funding for a teacher recruitment programme targeting older career switchers, as schools in England grapple with a vacancies crisis.

The Department for Education has confirmed it will no longer fund the career changing scheme, provided by the charity Now Teach, to recruit new cohorts of teachers from other lines of work.

The government had provided funding for each of the past five years, including £1.4mn last year, which accounted for about 85 per cent of the scheme’s funding.

The programme has successfully recruited more than 1,000 professionals — including a hostage negotiator, a Nasa scientist and a former monk — to enter teaching since its creation in 2017."

Underesourced HMRC failing to deliver...

...or collect.

"The tax authority was admonished in February for what MPs on the Commons public accounts committee called “unacceptable” customer service. The committee called on the government to increase the department’s resources.
HMRC had previously told ministers it needed to reduce drastically the volume of its interactions with the public via phone and post if it was to deliver its services with existing resources."

The opposition has gone centre right in order to win, instead of going left; starmy’s lot will be tied into that for five years
Blup, you want a Corbyn left wing Labour…..which would simply not win power.

Perhaps you might like to explain how another 5 years of Conservatives in power is the best option….as that’s what you want.

And you are wrong Labour has not gone centre right

Labour policies:
Collective wage bargaining not centre right
End zero hour contracts not centre right
Repeal anti union laws not centre right
Grants for nurses and doctors not centre right
Green new deal not centre right
State owned British energy not centre right
Nationalise railways not centre right
End vat free private school fees not centre right
