It's really simple: use any legal advantage the law provides first; pay the tax that's then owed second. Not many people on benefits or minimum wage are waiting on Dad to drop them 2 million! This is a wealthy persons' problem. Just pay the tax.

I’m not waiting, I don’t need the money one bit and I will pay whatever is owed.

But if the law might change, I’d be a fool not to want it to.
