It will attempt to fire but due to back pressure the air gas mixture can’t push through Venturi into burner so won’t light.What happens when the boiler is commanded to fire up but the flue gas route is obstructed ? Does the boiler fire up and choke or can it detect the flue route is obstructed and thus not make any attempt to fire up.
This is due to boiler not been cleaned properly every year.

Got between a quarter and third of a 5 litre drum. Been in the store several years, have no idea whether it loses potency. Doesn't smell as I remember but there is an acrid smell.

Four houses were converted to un-vented DHW and sealed heating with pumps and valves gear external to the boiler.
Four houses were converted to combination boilers.
Fourteen houses retained the vented DHW and vented heating system
