Intergas Eco RF vs HRE

Is the 10 year guarantee valid if any GasSafe man fits these combis? A neighbour is wanting to change her troublesome 15 year old Potterton combi, however is leaning towards 10 year guarantees. It needs a wireless thermostat, with the RF having this integral that is an advantage. The RF I believe only works seamlessly with a Honeywell wireless stat. Also is the Smart Phone control function built into this model, or is that extra?
Yes, all installers qualify for the 10 year warranty. The InTouch system is about £150 extra

It's Comfort Touch now

Is that an upgrade to the InTouch or a new thing altogether?

On the first page you posted s picture showing the boiler pressure at 0.72, is that in the normal app or just the installer one?

Ooo.ooo most warranties arent worth the paper there written on because over 50% of private customers dont get them serviced in line with warranty conditions!!
Add the ****ty water because most numptys dont flush and well.

Oddley most of my Intergas customers do get there boilers serviced annually.

This will be flushed, the existing system has had x100 renewed every 3 years, a magnetic filter will be fitted, it will be serviced every year.

I've got the new comfort touch thermostat and the brand new gateway for free because I can :):)

But I still went out and spent money to buy a Honeywell Lyric T6 to control the boiler. The low modulation performance is unreal (y)

I have the InTouch which seems ok but the round thermostat seems crap.

I’ve had one of the battery terminals come loose a couple of times and other times it won’t adjust, just flashes then goes back to whatever it was at. Unless that the actual temperature, not the target temperature.

The Honeywell Lyric T6 comes with a RF receiver box. The Intergas RF boilers already have RF integrated.

That is what I thought - the T6 appears to just switch the boiler in and out - simple and crude on-off control not modulating the burner. Using one of those stats, you may as well hook up the outside temperature sensor to modulate the burner, as Intergas boilers work with either the outside weather compensation or the Opentherm internal room thermostat - not both. That means buying a non-RF Intergas combi (which are cheaper) if using the T6 - may as well use the cheaper and very good Heatmiser RF stat and save again.

The Intergas RF manual does not mention the Honeywell T6 but mentions other compatible Opentherm RF stats. That does not mean much as the manual could be out of date as new stats arrive on the market.y to the stat

EDIT: Found that the T6R does do Opentherm via RF, but needs a power supply to the stat, so not wireless really. The T6R appears to be a roomstat you put on the sideboard.
