I honestly don't know why he has a hang-up about gay people, especially presenters and the like, that don't affect him.

My neighbour was telling me that a builder used to keep the house opposite, and spend his weekends there as a woman.
The landlady of my local told me that one of her previous business ventures was to make up seemingly straight blokes as women.
You have little idea what really goes on in most people's lives, so to make crass statements about "proportion" this and "over represented" that is just prejudiced guessing.

Mottie probably lives in a street full of elderly Wail readers. They wouldn't dare be openly gay or foreign or different, for fear of being stoned or put in the stocks.
