Master telephone Socket or Normal telephone extension socket?

the filter capacitor built in it that you would find in a telephone master socket.
The 1.8uF capacitor is the bell capacitor, it allows AC ringing current to reach the bell(s) via terminal 3 for those phones that do not have their own bell capacitor.

Please please please spend the extra few pounds and get something like this:

Has anyone suggested that Elliott has, or is planning to get, one of those plastic jobbies?

To be fair, those plastic jobbies do actually work - they are the right shape to push the wires in without damaging the terminal. They just "aren't very robust" and will only do a handful of terminations before they are worn out.
For the same reason, I have to wonder how robust the plastic bits on these new master sockets are - will they handle more than one or two termination cycles ?
