Mattresses !

I'm in need to replace my Tempur mattresses.

I'm not paying silly money so I'm going for feel alike mattresses.

Has anyone got experience of this brand

British made and generally good reviews but I don't trust reviews as much as I trust you lot.

IKEA.

Comfortable, affordable, every size including super king, and roll-packed so they fit in your car, rather than having to wait for delivery then manhandle it through your house.

Winner winner chicken dinner

Eve went bust and were bought by Bensons. They now make two ranges. One for Bensons and the other is sold on the Eve website. The ones which have all the good reviews might be those on the Eve website, which actually seem a lot cheaper right now. I would never buy from Bensons unless there was at least a 50% offer as the mark ups are enormous.

The markup on all mattresses is enormous. Search around, and you can always get the very same mattress cheaper than the big names. Somebody has to pay for the TV advertising.

Definitely. The one below on Eve's own website doesn't seem too bad in price, though, for a Which Best Buy. £325 against £1800 for the cheapest Tempur, which must be the most overpriced of all mattresses.

Mattresses are so subjective. Buying one can be a nightmare and recommending one is even worse. But I know the the basics if anyone wants to ask.

Reminds me of some comments associated with the news some years ago, that (John Lewis?) were flogging a mattress for £22k.

"The first layer is a finest merino wool mat, sown by artisans.
Next is a bed of two thousand individually hand - polished stainless steel coils, lovingly stitched together with the flax of South Island plants.
Then, finest knitted silk cushioning, merged with hand-stitched cashmere pocketing. All perfectly bound in finest 4000-count pure Egyptian cotton.

And, topped with a gullible bell end who's paid £22k for a mattress. "

You can try many memory foam mattresses for 100 nights and return them.
We tried the eve, but it was a bit too soft for my back.
They made no fuss, refunded it, collected it and gave it to the British heart fundation shop down the road from us.
It was for sale at £99 there...
We then went for the Simba and we liked it.

In John Lewis today and tried the Simba. It felt like sponge and too soft. The eve I found firm as my Tempur.

It's how long it will stay firm ?

All I can say is that our eve mattress is comfortable, not too hot and is suitable for whatever position you choose to sleep in.

You need to give it more than a few nights to evaluate it properly. When we bought ours, we were given a whole year to use it, then if we didn't like it, we could return it for a full refund.

It's a no-brainer!

Eve Original Hybrid. You can find them at half price occasionally or we bought a refurbished one for less than half price.

The refurb'd ones don't have the year long return guarantee.
