NI and Ireland

Ignore him - Ukraine was gifted Crimea from a grateful Soviet Union after WWII in recognition of their sacrifice.
You are correct.
The point I was making was that the borders of modern Ukraine like the 9 county Ulster were created by imperial powers.

The 9 county Ulster was an artificial creation for administrative purposes, it wasn't a Kindgom.

The original Kingdom was around 1000 years old.
'Ulidia'The name 'Ulidia' is Latin for 'Uladh' which was the ancient title of Ulster from the 5th until 14th century. It comprised at that time the area which is now encompassed by the Counties of Antrim and Down with part of County Londonderry and Louth

Vinty, your argumentative tactic is so tiresome.

You said that Catholics do not outnumber Protestants in NI. Wrong! I provided proof. You made some excuse for being wrong with a "only because...." excuse. Your excuse differed from the reality of Catholics having a higher birth rate.

You said that UK was a richer country than Ireland. Wrong! I provided the proof based on esteemed world data. You excused your incorrect assertion with a "only because....." excuse. Your excuse was a tactic that UK intended to mimic with Freeports, and low rates, etc. Additionally UK's services output vastly outperforms it's manufacturing output.

If I said Linford Chritie was not the fastest UK sprinter. And you proved me wrong, do you think a "only because ....." excuse would be acceptable.

The Vinty version of reality cannot be excused with a "only because....." excuse.

The recognised and accepted history of Ulster is as I've previously explained and provided proof.

Now I have no desire to continue proving that your version of reality differs from the accepted and recognised version.
So I'm more than happy for you to continue in your alternative reality.

Your problem is that you don't know what you are talking about.
You only have a superficial grasp of Irish and N.Irish history.

I've soundly proven your version is mistaken on two aspects, population and GDP, I have no desire to continue proving you wrong on other things you say.
