The mods are far more tolerant of such behaviour than I am used to. There are quite a few members whose sole purpose to be here, is one of causing problems, or the circular arguments - they have never been known to make any useful posts. Were I a mod, without question, they would be removed.

When people advertise who they claim to have on ignore, it's so childish. They only advertise so the person or people they claim to be ignoring read it.

To make some of my non-posts understandable, I named those I was ignoring in my signature. At the time, I think it was just JohnD and ellal as they were getting on my tìts but one or both of them must have had a scream up and I lost my privileges to have a signature for life! Such pettiness.

Just admit it, it was just an excuse for you to pretend to be ignoring them as an insult.
But in most cases it's a blessing.

I suppose it's about finding the right happy medium, and as with all these things, there'll be a degree of subjectivity to it.

I've told the story on here before of another forum I was on years back and there was a thread about people, predominantly girls/women, not feeling safe when walking in public especially at night. I made what I thought was a reasonable comment, along the lines of where possible girls/women shouldn't walk alone at night. I got a temp ban, when I asked why the mods said I was victim blaming. I questioned it and got a full ban with no further explanation.

In the main, I thing the mods on here get it broadly right. If anyone's annoying us on an individual basis we can put them on ignore :)

I don't have anyone on 'ignore' but sometimes in some threads there are certain people who I just don't read their posts.

Even the most annoying contributors have something useful or interesting to post sometimes. (wish they would't keep reinventing themselves under new names - that is silly.
