Would love to hear what you ended up doing here?
I am in a little bit of a similar situation but want underfloor and possibly 1 wall under laminate floor and bathroom cladding panels as the 2 radiators in the extension are both absolutely rubbish jobs and need removing as copper pipe work goes under the concrete flooring, all the.pupes are corroding and both radiator are way past useable this coming winter (already bodged a leak repair on 1 last year )
Anyway..I want all the pipe work cut off as they are the 2 end radiator it makes sense to go for a low watt under floor/wall heat mat just in the bathroom/utility room as the kitchen has 2 ovens it really never had the radiator on anyway.
The bathroom is 2x2m and we are only wanting 1x2 m in the floor heated and the wall that the radiator is currently on will help the utility room side also so 1m H x 2m long max on the wall.
Again then we have power issues and have a rcd masterplug extension lead for a double outdoor socket box in the utility room so figure we can surely just wire up a plug and put it in the outdoor protected box and not have to stress about it. The low watt heating mats are for this reason right? They are made for areas where you don't have large energy supply? Would be really handy for these companies to create some system that you can plug in just like a heater?
