Pre-Diabetes

I got diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes last June.

This is after fasting for ¹³hours & a bit.

I was shocked first as I thought it was too high.

Looking up I think it's OK.

I'll do regular checks from now on. Should have been doing this from the start.
I’d have thought you of all people would be taking good care of your health after what you’ve been through. Why aren’t you?

Last June 21 last year, I had an appointment at Addenbrookes, they told me they where
stopping my RITUXAN treatment for my Lymphoma so as to let my liver recover.

An hour before this I was called by my GP to tell me I had type 2 Diabetes. Then prescribed medication beginning with M.

Off one drug and onto another in one day.

I never took the M drug, right up unto I met with the Diabetes specialist August 7.

She tested me and said I was no longer diabetic. Very impressed she was.

I've just took that I'm clear now. This is all down to diet, I believe.

However from now I will test often as 7.9 I think is too high.

Metformin hydrochloride?
Hence why I called it M. But that's the stuff.
My mate In Australia who owns his own practice tells me I should be taking thus stuff.

But if I can do it with diet, then that's surely the way to go.

We need more of an alkaline diet and fasting.

I do have seeds and fruit most mornings. Fruit we need to be careful that we don't have too much.

I ask Mrs B to do at least 3 vegetarian meals a week. And I eat alot of Gut healthy stuff.

I could become vegetarian but don't really want to.

Yeah, read about it once. it's the normal #1 go-to for type 2. The most prescribed drug in the world. It reduces sugar production and problems from too much sugar in the blood and something wth lipids which I forget. . It's a challenge for kidneys if they're compromised already.
If you're in ketosis on an Atkinsy diet you wouldn't want to be taking it at the same time, I believe.

Yes, control sugar (ie all carbs) intake, keep active, don't sit at a computer for long, get good sleep, keep off alcohol - usual stuff.
The whirlpool of death by cholesterols/heart disease often comes from 'metabolic syndrome', which is a poorly understoof combination of belly fat, fatty liver, sedentary lifestyle, blood pressure , type 2, (++) which leads to an inability to use and store energy, so yourf ucked.
I don't move much so I was warned about it.

I've had si many drugs pumped into me, I don't want anymore unless I must.

I do drunk and other bad things but I think my health is good at the moment. This mainly is down to diet and hydration.

I'm curious now how my cholesterol is doing as that was also on the limits.

Does anyone know how we can test this?
