Prices of Take-away Food

Oh my Cod! That is a lot more expensive than previous years.

There must be a plaice that does cheaper deals.

I reckon we will see loads of fish and chip shops will close - upto a third has been suggested.
If people reduce their spending, on all sorts of things, I suspect many businesses will close.
That'll all help Truss's "big growth plan".

Is it all going to plan so far?
When does the government decide it's not, and change course?

Fish is mainly imported...

Value of the pound has dropped a lot since 23/07/2016...

So no surprise as to price hikes due to the UK economy having been fish tanked!

A self inflicted disaster!
Yawn. I see Brexit has yet again been shoehorned into a thread by the bitter failed emigrant troll. Get a life.

My local chippy is currently £7.80 (standard fish supper) or £8.99 (Icelandic fish supper.) Fife, Scotland.

How much for a battered haggis?
I didn't think i'd like it but it was surprisingly tasty when i did try it in Oban.

i used to pay £11.05 for large chips , medium cod, jumbo sausage & Saveloy
Now £15

We used to have roughly once a week , BUT not any more - as the cost of everything is increases , I have had to make a lot of cutbacks recently

heating is nolonger on , which the other half would have done this time of year - just wearing multiple layers now ......

We also have a very good curry house - which has always been expensive - but takeaway for 3 was £50 - now over £70 , so thats only purchased as a real treat now

At least we can put food on the table, unlike some poor souls , but my pension is not linked with cost of living, so in a few years time , it will nolonger support our current bills

Wow, you are really p*ssed today!

Question is...

Is it the breakfast alcohol or the knowledge that you are always so wrong?

Brexit is a big cause in the pound's devaluation - fact.

So get over it and face that fact!

Back under your bridge for you, and do us all a favour this time...

Don't come out again!

Oh my Cod!
Lol. One of our local chippy's. Right next door to my dentists.
