Pro-Palestine Protests

The Palestinian people (civilians) are learning a lot about the Israeli army, too. It won't finish (the killing), ever. The Palestinian children will grow up with a manifested hatred of Israel.
An aspect. The HAMAS attack is over and done. Nothing will undo that as it's happened The concentration now is creating a situation where the same or similar will never happen again / that is said to be the intent.

The protests relate to what is going on in Gaza and also to some extent a separate Palestinian state etc. That has it's historical aspects as the intent has been there but has never really happened. Even so a large number of members of the UN general assembly recognise it as a state even though in terms of autonomy and rights issues etc it's far from being one. To be a recognised state the UN security council has to OK it. They then get to vote in the general assembly. Until that happens they are not a UN recognised state. Observer status is entirely different. They can listen and maybe speak but that's it. Iran was given observer status rather recently. Being a UN recognised state has it's pluses. The US used it's veto due to that when there was a hearing rather recently. I understand this one was the 2nd attempt. The other appears to have been in 2011. The idea of 2 states started well before that. The Oslo Accords relate to it and even earlier ideas.

An Israeli view that I have heard. How common pass but it went HAMAS is the children of the people we didn't kill last time. We are not going to make the same mistake again. Israel has attacked the strip before and reduced areas to rubble The current actions are doing the same over a much wider area.

Still waiting ajohn
You haven't made a relevant comment worth replying to. In fact many are completely ignoring what the real issue is now. Not that the solution is that different to previous attempts but who knows this time it might achieve it's objectives.

They already do, have you not seen the school textbooks used in UNWRA schools.
I've found children are influenced much more by having their mother/father/brother/sister/uncle/aunt slaughtered.

Or grandmother, of course

Hamas is a proxy for Iran, as is Hezbullah and other terrorist groups. The "Palestinian" independence angle is a smokescreen. They want Israel wiped off the map. Israel ain't going to let that happen - in fact, will direct its efforts at disabling its enemies. This is the real war that is going on. There are some very powerful, possibly nuke-tipped, weapons with Iran's name on them. I think the world would be a better place if the theocratic dictatorship in Iran does not end up with nuclear weapons.

John D the Jew hater can't see the bigger picture as usual

Sounds about right. Glad he's on my ignore list.

Quite a few of the lefties seem to be anti semites. Rather like their cousins, the national socialists. This is why I'm all in favour of free speech. Better to know...

Israel seems to think we are all sleep walking.
If Russia go beyond Ukraine Attention needs to be on Turkey as well as Iran.
Israel will be holding the fort until we wake up.

Democracy in action...

Council authorities have moved to take down pro-Palestine murals in east London, while another is being reviewed after complaints were made by pro-Israel lawyers. In other areas of London, murals depicting Palestinian medical professionals and media workers have been defaced in some cases or painted over with pro-Israeli graffiti...Redbridge council was criticised by the Labour MP for Ilford South, Sam Tarry, who described the local authority’s actions as “an authoritarian act of harassment that would normally only be expected in a dictatorship”.
