that's worked I've now been able to change the engineer code. Thanks. I have come up against my next challenge. I couldn't change the master code in the engineer menu and I understand I need the master code to add a keyfob. Is there any way around that without having the master code?
 
Yes on the change master code screen when it displays the *****'s, press C before entering the new code.

brilliant - I have now managed to get all the codes changed and the system working properly. I appreciate all the advice and insight from everyone on here. thanks
