Rebuilding a compressor

Well you wouldnt normally run an expensive sort of compressor like this.
New B70 units come at about 1k plus quid. Just for the pump itself...
It pains me to see things like this... Even if i find part supplier in all probability it will be expensive to fix.
Hence writeoff, as i cannot afford to fix expensive... Was hoping to nurse back this one to life to have a quality tool in my shop for a change :D

Aye, youve had some bad luck there....maybe look round in local auctions, or check out any garages that are closing down - although their gear is likely to be 3 phase.
John :)

3 phase is nothing. Just replace electrics with 1ph - done. Simples... If it only were that simple :D

Aftermath of someone elses "care", pictures...

Saved low pressure piston. LP side of crank is also fine, no scratches/grooves.
And surprisingly cyllinder inserts/liners are absolutely pristine, both of them.
If not for the chip at the bottom of HP liner, cyllinder block would have been ok as well...

So, at this time i would need to replace:
1. Crankshaft
2. High pressure (smaller) piston head, rings, tierod, crank bearing
3. Cyllinder block

Yeesh...
