Remind me what bending the knee is all about?

Am I?

That includes discrimination (including abuse) generated by sexism, etc.

You're extrapolating to the extreme again in your attempt to discredit an argument.

If the women's game wanted to take a knee in support of cats, that's up to them. But it would belittle the entire message in 'taking a knee'.
They're free to make up some other form of gesture, e.g arms around their opponents shoulders, as per mynameisbod's sugetstion.
Yes.

Check definitions of discrimination and abuse to see the difference.

nope.

the women's game would be better suited to highlighting abuse and you've taken the cat's quote out of context...

6/10.
Must do better.

you're conflating abuse with discrimination in the Captains Statement regarding the matter of taking a knee.*
In that context they may as well take a knee against cruelty to cats after the incident regarding the West Ham player earlier this year.

*Perhaps the women's game should take that issue into consideration ?

Bodd despises the fact that black people have a voice. He forgets how loud the white man has shouted all these centuries, poor sod.
my comment was in response to Pat Ex and nothing to do with Bodd.
From what i can gather he's questioning the BLM gesture to the exclusion of any other colour or creed at a football match where more than just one ethnicity is represented.

Lol.
Black is just another term for non-white. Racism affects all non-white people and bodd knows it. Awareness is key and the whole knee taking thing has got people noticing. Why bodd chooses to focus on the word black, only he knows.

the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age, sex, or disability.
I'd describe abuse as unjust or prejudicial treatment based on physiological differences, wouldn't you?
Sure it could be described as severe treatment based on those physiological differences, but still discrimination.

the women's game would be better suited to highlighting abuse and you've taken the cat's quote out of context...
I was well aware of that, but for the victims to demonstrate against their treatment, kind of loses the effect. It's when the potential perpetrators start taking notice and responding that demonstrations are worthy of the issue.

What was that you said about condescension? It's not the first time that you've resorted to such condescension.
without resorting to condescension, if possible. A low-level tactic in debate.

I know, but sometimes it's just so much fun...you sound like one of those CNN reporters tagging another question on to the first question then adding an amendment to the previous question before ending with an oblique reference to your first question...
If abuse is to be tagged on to the 'taking the knee' protest then what the hell, why not. Is calling the ref a blind b'stard in the parameters of that? Good grief.

In response to your rambling opinion of the direction of this discussion, may I remind you that it is you that has repeatedly resorted to the extreme in defence of your argument, and you haven't stopped yet.
Abusing the referee is punishable, by the referee, within the rules of the game.

Ignoring the footballers/soccer players the 'taking the knee' stance is now looking its impact. Maybe not in the USofA but elsewhere - can't say for sure as I don't watch/follow football.
It is or was becoming an interference at the start of F1 races even with the world wide following that sport enjoys.

So I do think the 4 or so times per season will have more impact than every match.

I reckon there should be a national take the knee day ??

Similar to the clapping for the nhs during this covid caper

At a designated time every one goes out on the street and takes the knee :ROFLMAO:

Any one that does not is designated an A hole and a racist :ROFLMAO:
