No the landlord will not be able to pass on the full 2k but it WILL end up increasing the rent.
Landlords will seek to maximise their income, so rent will depend on what tenants can pay.

The only other choice is the less we'll off and lower earners paying more so the very wealthy don't have to.They are just bots. They can't think. They are from the school of 'They need us more than we need them'.
They are well trained monkeys to repeat the same claptrap but never question it.
It's as if they are afraid of seeing the light - prefer to live in darkness.

The only problem is that a lot of people are paying tax but can't afford a house, or to eat.Motorbiking's preference.
Nope - not me - it was your side kick ---You brought up Landlords - and now are swerving.
LVT and tax capital the same as income.
Why are you so against this?
Poor people live in rented accommodation, their wages pay for their rent
Rich people own houses that they rent out, they receive money from poor people and that money goes to increase the assets of the rich person
Got it- so its the tenants fault that their rents are so highLandlords will seek to maximise their income, so rent will depend on what tenants can pay.
It's easy to decide poor though. Some people on here have genuinely laughable definitions of what makes someone rich ...
Because it will increase rent.LVT and tax capital the same as income.

It doesn't say they are paying more tax. They might be, or there may be lots of avoidance going on.See wealthier people paying more tax under the conservatives. Who’d have thought.
Since when has this thread been solely about income tax?Irrelevant diversion. How does wealth equate to income tax. Keep up the good job you’re doing of being the forum idiot.
Because it will increase rent.
Hilarious….. oh wait you’re serious.Landlords can't pass the tax on. If they are renting out a property for £10k and have to pay £2k tax on it - every other landlord will do the same - renters won't be able to pay and leave.
So the Landlord options are no tentant and pay £2k tax or a have a tenant and still pay £2k tax. Tell me which they will choose?
Hilarious….. oh wait you’re serious.
Oh good grief.. if it’s being avoided, it’s not in the tax receipts, if it’s being paid it is.It doesn't say they are paying more tax. They might be, or there may be lots of avoidance going on.
But the number of people earning over a million has gone up by around 20%
