There is a lot of interest in tactical voting for this election.

Combined with the rise of Reform, it’s possible Conservatives could end up in 3rd place

That would end the 2 party system we’ve had for so long: that would be historical.

It’s very unlikely, but it would be good to see the door opened to a real change in our politics as it’s been failing this country for 50 years.

Carol Vorderman said that last night on HIGNFY. Personally, i doubt it, but live in hope of being around to see something extraordinary and very, very amusing happen.

An old and maybe safe option is vote one way for the general and the other for the local.

I vote LibDem locally. Labour have a very low vote in this area. It's always a battle between LD and Tory. It's flip-flopped either way over the last quarter of a century.

interesting if you follow polls at all
our area is forecast to be Libdem- first time in 100years since always conservative - BUT the council changed from conservative to independant and now Libdem
seems a lot of talk locally and on local social media , about voting and libdem

But what ever people do nothing is likely to change
I agree fundamental change is unlikely, but lots of people voted for Brexit because they felt it was the first time their voice was heard, tactical voting also gives people power against a rigged system.

There’s a tiny chance that tactical voting + Reform could leave Conservatives as no longer the being the official opposition party

That would be change, a historical break from the 2 party system.
It could lead to a change in our policital system.
