Very helpfully, the kids have torn off half the sticker with the product key on it...

MS want £46 for one day's support via email, so that's out. I may as well buy an OEM version from flea-bay for less money....

You will however need to source any setup CD and copy to your PC, change a 6 digit number in a certain TXT file and burn the Disc giving it an exact name, then BAM your very own Volume License copy

Just say the word, will drop you it somehow but not on here!!

Wrong!!! it does update, MS have not blacklisted the code because I have kept it safe!!

Erm......you statement is correct regarding CRACKED versions of XP, my version is not cracked its a LEGIT copy with a LEGIT code, the only issue is using it outside of the establishment that it was given to, IMO this is better than using a CRACKED version because its been tampered with wereas mine hasnt

So your statement was incorrect because these workaround dont exist on my copy, you should know this already so am surprised you commented

You need to read my post again.

Typically, using a VLK key will require a workaround for WGA because just about every leaked VLK key is blacklisted, or comes from a keygen and was never valid. That you're handing out a presently valid key doesn't change that fact.

There is no need to change any system files to bypass WGA, FYI..

i worked in this establishment so it came home with me one day plus I have another one somewhere but never had to use that so dont know if that has been blacklisted but for sure mine hasnt cos 4 of my 6 PC's have XP the other 2 PC's and 2 laptops have Windows 7 64Bit which are not legit, oops arnt I a bad boy haha
