Heating works quite well all rads are over sized
Additional insulation in the prop has not been done

Quite well meaning the bloke is happy ish

Some of the prop is heated via under floor heating

Friends recently renovated their restaurant completely, including the installation of a reversible air source heat pump system to the three (public) rooms of their restaurant. It cost about €20,000, but it works well in winter and summer.
Two whole sides of their restaurant are single glazed (it's a corner location) shop style windows. Obviously there are large volumes of air extraction going on in the kitchen. Domestic apartments above, but I would imagine little to no insulation in the floors or the other walls.
They report that they are content and comfortable with the system.

I think if I had lashed out 20 grand on a system that didn't work, which I wouldn't be spending anything on heat pumps and which don't work, I would be reluctant to admit that I had paid out that much on a pile of junk.

Has anyone mentioned the noise these things make with a giant fan running 24/7 in a metal box facing your neighbour. Now imagine a whole street full all back gardens facing each other left right and behind. Vibrations from the unit ? / a terraced house row of units transferring through the house manifesting themselves as a harmonic frequency triggering migraines white noise - unable to sleep.
Just spit - balling but who knows.

Yes that is likely to be an issue down the line

If I recall there have been cases ?? Of heat pumps having to be moved ? Due to noise and complaints ?
