I should have started the kitchen at the beginning of the summer. So wasted a few good months
Made the opening wider so I can have a breakfast bar

We had a kitchen renovation, including the false ceiling pulled down and replaced , they guy said we dont usually put insulation above a kitchen because of the heat in a kitchen , but if oi wanted it an extra £100 - i said i wanted insulation , I can always open the windows and doors if too hot .......
Good to know thatI have 10mm speed fit directly from boiler manifold to each individual tap with no fittings in-between. The result is water gets hotter quicker using less gas and the shower is not affected if someone uses a hot tap.
Kitchen I have insulated 2 externals walls in my kitchen and 1 in my living room.
Also in doing my Kitchen I have replaced all the 15mm hot feeds to taps with 10mm feeds and insulated them from a manifold.
Next year I'll insulate the spare room and hopefully fit triple glazing.View attachment 284297View attachment 284325
You don't affect pressure by using different size pipe what you do alter is volume.I have a combi.... its advised to run all feeds in 15mm as with 22mm you will loose pressure and have more cold water in your pipes to disperse before the hot water comes through.

By altering to 10mm pressure remains the same volume is much reduced.
