Top of Porch rotted

Any advice on sealing/mending the cracks in this front-door porch?

Felt needs renewing. Some timber beneath may be rotten.

Acrylpol and mesh painted on will only get a few more years.

Ok, so how about a covering over the felt (after it's been sealed) , thin copper sheets bent to make the rain spill off, something like that?

No, that's unnecessary Heath Robinson.

Covering with a mesh and flexible compound such as Acrylpol will be enough, but the felt is at life end, and if you cover the defective bit now the adjacent bit of felt rots next.

The thing is , as you can see there are definite deep gaps in the felt and structure, shouldn't I fill those gaps (where you can even see down to the woodwork) with material like stones before I cover over with scrim and Acrypol?

The mesh will bridge the gaps. Flashband could be used instead of the mesh.

..but you're meant to do Acrypol then Scrim as middle layer then final second Acrypol as third layer. Thanks, that adhesive flashband can you see it sticking on that surface?
If I do first layer acrypol will it gel before it seeps through ceiling? Will it even seep through the ceiling? If not then sorted, can just smooth it out with Acrypol then put flashband on but like I say these adhesive tapes like flashband look too good to be true. How would you flatten the flashband?

If you can wait for a few hot sunny days the flashband etc is much easier to use. A hair dryer or hot air gun can also be useful to get the flashband goo to flow a bit.

I wouldn't even think about repairing that, it's probably ready to collapse looking at the state of it.

Just replace with a new roof or porch and stop messing about.

I've heard that these wet-patch porch-roofs accumulate water unbeknownst to the owner and they sometimes just cave in inside the house with the weight of the water. What would you say is the best way to check if there's loads of water accumulated on top of the porch ceiling from inside?

I've not heard that.

If you have water on top of a ceiling, you'll know about it within 5 minutes, or less.
