Transormer quibble

The Tesla doesn't really look like one of the first cars, does it?

A transistor 'transforms' voltage, as does a resitive divider, or an optocoupler, or many other componets. How ambiguous do you want the word to be?
It's not me being ambiguous, it is those who describe a "wire-wound iron core voltage transformer" as merely A transformer and exclude all other forms of transformer as NOT transformers.

An 1890's car does not look like a 1980's car. But it's still a car.
