What are you drinking tonight?

A Muscadet with our Moules Marinière tonight.

So, you wasted £8 a bottle on something that the French wouldn't let their dogs drink, then you served that muck up with some mussels harvested from just downstream of Hull's main sewerage outlet.

The casual observer might think this couldn't get any worse, but it appears to have been prepared in an environment that even my pigs would find offensive.

If you do manage to "woo" her tonight. Please DO NOT come back with any evidence.

Why don't you **** off and make another million or two. Then come back and tell us again just how successful you are.

A bit uncalled for Brigade77!

Andy
Hey, you're talking about the man that was responsible for bringing Gary Glitter to court, who forced BT to adopt ADSL, put PC's in most homes, created the first 'free' internet provider and was the only man on the planet that Sir Stanley Kalms allowed to call him 'Stan'. Why shouldn't he be an expert on wines and shellfish too?

Some of us exist in the real world - I blocked him and several others, long ago.

Barley Wine - home brewed. hic!

I brew beer occasionally and it's always barley wine. I've tried brewing other styles but barley wine always comes out best, so I've stuck with it.

.... Gold Label ....

More barley wine. Gold Label is one of the few old-style beers left; unchanged for decades amongst all the lagers and newer stuff. Banks's Barley Gold is similar but cheaper, get it from Asda, highly recommended.

Thanks, but I'm not sure I should revisit my barley wine days - even if I could remember them.

Nothing tonight as I'm stuffed and giving tea a miss but on the shoot today I had port at 8:30am and bubbles at 11.00. Bacon and sausage rolls were served up for breakfast, beef stew and a selection of nibbles for lunch and more nibbles and cake when it finished. Oh, and I was given three braces of birds.
Nibbles:

I would pass on the olives, mini sausages and what looks like a bit of rabbit food in the bottom left corner. The rest I would enjoy with a possible exception to whats in the tin/jar near the grapes as I can't see what it is.
