What are you watching on TV right now?

Barbie.

It's OK. Really funny in places. But I don't get all the fuss about it not getting enough awards/nominations.

We are watching Crufts.

Indeed. Visually stunning, but boring. I've given up. It seems to be essentially the same story as Star Wars, but really slow. I know Dune was written before. It looks like I'm not the only one

others faulted it for being long, slow and ending just as the story was getting interesting

It’s huge and loud and impressive but it can also be humorless and bleak

an awful lot of what we’re watching feels like laborious setup for a hopefully more gripping film to come — the boring homework before the juicy stuff starts happening.

Really don't know why there are several film versions of Dune. Did the version watched recently have Sting in it? The the '84 original.
There is also a 2021 version that come in2 parts - think part 2 is due this year.

The book it's based on is very much a child of it's time 1960's - mind altering drugs, megalomaniacs, spiritualisum, Jihad.

The book is difficult one to read, the following on books as much so.

It was Part 1 of the modern version (from 2021 I think).

Too long and boring? Honest Trailers are here to help explain the sci-fi epic that is...Duuuuuuuuuuuune.

Re-watching Unforgotten.

The one with the Morton Spider car.

Bit lax that they said it was factory registered in January 1966 but it didn't have a "D"-suffix plate, it had 775 UCC.

This format was introduced in the mid 50s until "A"-suffix plates were introduced in January 1963.

Nerd, I know....

Watched BBC breakfast in the camper as it was lashing down, Mel B was on moaning about how she was skint, her face looks tighter than snare drum, could have saved a few bob and stayed au naturel
