What are you watching on TV right now?

Bridgerton. Colin has just fingered Penelope in the carriage on the way home from the ball.

Tuned in to watch a BBC4 prog about the 'Vasa:Ghost Ship' last night, and caught the end of 'Lost Masterpieces' where they cleaned up a couple of paintings by Breugel the Younger. Another famous painting revered by Ulster Unionists; a scene they thought portrayed William IV coming to save them from the Jacobite scourge. was also cleaned and found to be about a bunch of Catholic merchants in Antwerp praising St. George. I did larf.

D-Day 80. We Will Remember Them. On BBC.
I honestly don't know what I would have done if I was in one of those landing crafts on D Day. So brave, all of 'em.

I’m watching one of my favourite films for the umpteenth time. I remember my dad taking me to see it at the pictures.

On again now. Pussy Galore!

In the book, Pussy was a lesbian but thankfully James used his powers of persuasion and turned her on to men. ;-)

The Piano on catch-up.

A couple on the show and she said she was going out with someone else when she first met her future husband. It was not a happy relationship, she said, but they got married anyway.

What?

Darkest Hour, again. Always worth another watch just for Gary Oldman's performance. Hard to imagine he went all the way from playing Sid Vicious to Winston Churchill but a well deserved Oscar at the end of it all.
Favourite scene in DH has to be in the cubicle on the phone to FDR, a long shot pulling back to show how the walls were closing in on him as Halifax urged a settlement with Germany. "Can't we buy those ships with the money you loaned us", is a line that always makes me chuckle, but highlights how deep in the sh!t this country was 80 years ago.

Darkest Hour too, a repeat watch, because I didn't give it the attention it deserved the first time around. Wasn't the girl, his secretary/typist, the one from phone advert?
