What are you watching on TV right now?

How to be a Tyrant on Netflix. All about how tyrants came to power in their countries. First episode Hitler, second one Sadam. Next, Idi Amin. Quite interesting and educational but terrifying.

..and several others. It makes you realise how lucky we are to leave in such a stable, relatively open and democratic country as the UK is. Some of the things those dictators did and got away with it.... for a while at least.

Just watching the end of '8 days: To the moon and back' on BBC2. Declassified cockpit audio recorded on the Apollo 11 moon landing with footage. Fascinating. My heart still beats like a drum when they are landing whilst running seriously low on fuel and I’ve seen it dozens of times so I know how it ends! They really were hero's who risked their lives to get to the moon with 100,000 times less computing power on Apollo 11 than is in the average mobile phone!

Watching Mel Gibson single handedly winning the American revolution in the film The Patriot.
Good film at the beginning but starts getting a bit silly when he and his 2 kids wipe out 20 redcoats in a couple of minutes.

Good documentary called the The Blinding of Issac Woodward.
Its about a black American war veteran who gets his eyes gouged out during a beating by a local police chief in the Southern states.

Just watched 'Stillwater'. Long and boring with a weak ending. Should be renamed 'Ditchwater'.

Watching Chelsea Vs Arsenal in Stalam Norfolk.. must be a Chelsea pub most are sticking up for the Champions of Europe.

Wife is into Brockenwood Mysteries a Kiwi Midsomer meets Morse meets Columbo, cop is a bit scruffy and drives a classic car solving rural murders

Watched nine perfect strangers up to episode 3. Mrs Mottie has read the book, enjoyed it but she says the show bears little resemblance to the book…..
