Did the other side today but didn't start till 11:00am due to rain. Prior to 11am, did a quote, typed it up emailed it and got the job. 2020 work calendar now officially full.

My work calendar is full till Thursday
I only work Friday mornings.
Failed multitask this morning. Making mine and the dogs breakfast at the same time I must have had a brain fart. Just as I was adding some muesli to my porridge, I realised something was wrong! You should have seen the look on my dogs face when I emptied it into the bin.

Today I have been babysitting my 13 month old Grandson while my wife went to a funeral. Luckily, he was asleep when I got there at 12.30. My son left me instructions but he didn’t wake up until 1.40. Wifey got there at 3.40 but those two hours - hard graft! I fed him, changed him, played with every toy he had and I was bloody knackered - he just doesn’t sit still, he’s like a bloody Duracell bunny. I’m back indoors now but the wife’s there until his mum comes home at 8.00. I don’t know how she does it.

Took my blind diabetic pal / neighbour shopping to Hexham........market for the greens, took him for a haircut, then the bank, then the butchers, then Aldi then Tesco.
He has 5% vision in one eye, nowt in the other and has an insulin shunt pump directly piped into his belly but still he manages somehow, and never complains.
Funny how people take no notice of the white stick

Retirement has great virtues, Andy Don’t know how I ever had time to work!
The blind guy only takes one morning per week, although I do get summoned for other things often enough.
There but for the grace of god, I guess, I can’t imagine being in such a state.
At least I can now take his glucose levels electronically rather than pricking a finger, which is huge progress.

Making 30odd 'stress balls' out of balloons filled with flour for the boy to sell at school for this make a profit out of £5 thing, fine idea except it's such a fiddly process he can barely help so old muggins is doing it, have been doing one balloon inside another to make them stronger but boy it's hard blowing 'em up!

Took the wife to work today, parking is a hassle so I like to give her a treat, on the way her mums carer phoned to say the key safe had stopped working, called on the way back and doused it in WD40, after picking her up we took the scenic route home and saw a Barn Owl flitting about in daylight, it then perched on a fence and looked straight at us
Yes, it doesn’t do any harm giving them a treat now and then. That reminded me of the time I was out with my wife on her 50th birthday. We walked past a VERY expensive French restaurant and she commented on the delicious smells coming out of it and the beautiful decor inside. I said to myself "F#*k it, she’s only 50 once, I’ll treat her”, so I turned her round and walked her past it again.
