Just moving over to sourdough. Buying a few different types to see what we like. Then I'll dip my toe in the water and try making a starter.

@DP knows all about making Sourdough. My latest creation is al down to his private lessons.

Be careful what you buy. Most supermarkets sell Faux Sourdough.

So waitrose is the only real sourdough.


Only problem is they are expensive for a small loaf

I'm not sure what that article is using as the measure to test the fakeness of a SD loaf.

It mentions yeast, but they don't have yeast in them.
What is the difference between the others and the Waitrose recipe that makes them fake and the Waitrose one authentic?

Sourdough does have yeast in it, otherwise it wouldn't rise.
