When is this going to stop?

Afaik a report on the news a couple weeks ago about a farmer who had to shoot 2 of them bully dogs that attacked and killed some of his lambs and pregnant ewes ??

If you could see a graph showing you the socioeconomic status of all owners of such dogs, I'd hazard a guess most of them would be lower income citizens living on council estates. Note I'm not saying anything against either group, I myself was brought up on a council estate and I'm not embarrassed about it for one sec.

Several years ago, I had to ring the police, after being threatened by the owner of a pair of dogs. The threat was to release his dogs into my property, to attack my dog. I traced where he lived - the police were able to confirm he was 'known to them', I never saw him, nor the two dogs again.

When we committed to take on the police contract & start the recovery buisness it was agreed by all that we'd need a guard dog for the premises. We asked around & the police said to take one of the German Shepherd dogs that failed their selection. So we purchased a Rottweiler that had recently been retired from scaring the punters at drug raves instead . . . !

£500 quids we paid. The Escort sized van turned up at the yard & the bloke driving it refused to get out. You could hear the dog in the back & you could hear that he wasn't happy. My business partner 'Tim' paid the man & walked to the rear & just opened the doors as if letting all Hell loose was just another task in the grand scheme of things.

I stood directly behind those doors as they opened & F'me he was an angry dog. He looked around as if to choose who to eat first, but then he took one step out of the van, walked calmly over to me, gave me the once over & instantly decided that he'd try hard to make the best yard dog that ever lived.

I could write a book about his antics from that day onwards.

Somebody doesn't know much about the farming calendar.

Any one recall that

Benn v Mclellan world title fight a good while back

Mclellan ended up in a coma after the fight ended up brain damaged / disabled

Yep that is the bloke who kept fighting dogs

Went down to a dog rescue centre got a Labrador took it home taped its mouth shut and let his pit bulls rip it apart for training

Nasty piece of work

Brain damaged / disabled now

Oh well Transam gives not a jot

I run over a little poodle on monday.
The owner had let it loose, without a lead.
I didn't stop and god forbid I'd fallen off my bike, the dog and the owner would've paid a very high price.
Some people should never be allowed to be in charge of any animal and some animals should not be pets.

I have a small, friendly dog. If he loses it, you're at risk of being licked to death. Although he's more likely to steal your shoes and ask you to chase him.

Maybe we need to do what we do with cats. Small cats ok, big cats banned.

Ask any tradesman /postman etc who visit houses the stock comment after you have been bit is Oh its never done that before it's so out of character. No dogs will always at some point revert to instinct no matter how well trained and these big feking things kill when they do .

Oh its never done that before
Heard that many times.
Bullshyte!
We've had dogs all of our life and my father was a breeder.
Some dogs are aggressive by nature, no matter what you do.
Some others are very sweet.
We had a doberman bitch and she was vicious, nobody apart from us could go near her.
