Abortion

but lets look at your opening post
Yes, let's do that.
My OP:
Just for Vinty who wants to discuss abortion.
I thought I'd made it obvious why I posted the thread, I didn't have any strong desire to change the status quo in UK.
Just in case, I specifically said why I'd started the post:
I only started the thread as a courtesy to Vinty who appeared to want to discuss it.
I also said in a later post that I'm not content with the current legislation in Ireland:
I think the law is wrong.
But I also stated my ethical and moral position on abortion as practised in UK, and other 'liberated' countries:
I think women should have control over their own bodies.
So quite how you get to this assumption baffles me:
So you think it should be lawful for a woman to terminate an unborn baby at say 36 weeks?
But because I'm content with the current legislation in UK and France, I haven't researched it in great detail in other European counrtries.
Perhaps France could extend the time further, and I'd still be content.

You understand this will involve killing an unborn baby?
Voluntary aborting a feotus that can't survive at 24 weeks is not killing a baby.
Taken to that extreme and contraception kills babies.

What is the difference between killing a baby at 36 weeks and putting a newborn in a dumpster to die?
I think I made my point succintly previously. I feel no need to repeat it nor alter it.
Of course back street, illegal practices could be considered illegal, especially if realtively cheap state run, with medically qualified staff, exist
But I will clarify it, abortion after 24 weeks is only considered in special circumstances. I don't feel the need to discuss each circumstance beacuse I'm content with the status quo.
Mainly because I'm not a medical expert, nor have I consulted widely on female opinions. I content myself with the absence of protests to inform my views on this.

If you see my views as prejudiced, I'd suggest your opinion is myopic and caused by your own belief and blind refusal to consider other opinions.

I'm not trying to shut anything down, but lets look at your opening post... and apply the sort of logic you and carmanmemoranda apply....

Where have I made any comment of the sort?

Just making stuff up to feed your prejudice.

Any medical specialist, or female opinion to give any balance ?
